Ladies Lunch at Babbo

A Few days before my holiday I was lucky enough to attend the Ladies lunch at the Italian family restaurant called Babbo .

Firstly I want to explain why it’s called “Ladies who lunch”. Basically “Ladies who lunch is a phrase often used to describe well-off, well-dressed women who meet for social luncheons, usually during the working week. Typically, the women involved are married and non-working. Normally the lunch is in a high-class restaurant, but could also take place in a department store during a shopping trip. Sometimes the lunch takes place under the pretext of raising money for charity.”

And it’s exactly how it was on Thursday 5th of July at Babbo .The restaurant itself was recently renovated, rebranded and reopened as a new high quality and affordable Italian cuisine. Easy accessible location, friendly and modern atmosphere created a perfect venue for family dinners, business lunches and special occasions. This place was just a great spot to have a “Ladies lunch”.

Myself and two my friends (also bloggers) were invited to the party. It started at 12pm with some canapés and welcome drinks at the bar area. Friendly staff welcomed us on arrival and seated us to the bigger table where we met some amazing people and enjoyed the afternoon.

When we arrived to the place, we could hear the music miles away. It set us up for a perfect mood for the party.

The weather was glorious so windows and doors were widely opened and the terrace was full of beautifully dressed ladies who were ready to have a great time.

Our table was set up so lovely in a blue theme and all of us had a goodie bag with lovely Kiehls samples, gift vouchers and deals.

The menu for lunch was set £9.95 per person and included a main and a drink (plus a drink on arrival)

I would love to mention that it was very difficult to choose what to go for as all the food looked and smells incredible ( as I could see from other tables).

The restaurant has got a really wide selection of food and drinks, including pasta dishes, fish dishes, steaks , pizzas and more. Homemade tiramisu is the one of house best-selling desserts .If you have any dietary requirements Babbo is always at hand to cater it for you.

As I mentioned earlier, one of the purpose of Ladies lunch is to raise money for charity. Together with Babbo we supported Myra Doodle the 22 bee project. (In conjunction with the Manchester Emergency fund) and it’s exactly what we did.

During the lunch we had live music in the way of Saxophone by the renowned Carlo Sax, followed by dancing. Everyone enjoyed the lunch and the afternoon so much. All I could see is a lot of stylish good looking ladies dancing and enjoying their life right now. Really embracing the moment (This is what life is about).
